Many others who were ignorant about this website end up contacting the author asking them when the next chapter would be uploaded on this ILLEGAL website. This causes the website to remove the manga if the author complains(therefore ruining it for others). One time, mangago almost got shut down because of this...

When you reply on a comment, you'll be automatically notified when there are new reply to the comment. So, you're following the conversation.

As the others said, when people type ff or following, it's so that whenever someone else replies, they'll get a notification for it. Say someone asked a question you didn't know the answer to but really wanted to know, too. You could type ff, and when someone else answers, you'll get a notification. Basically, it just makes it easier to get back to the comment and you don't lose it.

If you had previously set your “answer question” in the activity setting to “show in activity,” you might be able to retrieve the topic you replied to...after going to homepage > activity. Otherwise, you can’t unmute the notified topic~
