it was never confirmed by her but there is quite a bit of evidence to support that she was arrested/on parole. though, her alleged "arrest" likely wasn't because of sexual content, since neither tgcf or mdzs really have any sexual content. there have been a lot of other authors who have gotten arrested for that, but likely not mxtx.
instead, her alleged arrest had to do with her selling copies of her books through taobao, which is technically illegal under chinese law because printed media needs to go through a publishing house for approval. this was pretty common practice for a lot of danmei authors to do, which the government started cracking down on
