I'm gonna kms why is yjh so stoic this better not continue in se2 I'm actually pissed how are the confrontations going to hit if yjh is js so fucking unattached and nonchalant because he's such a human character and like??? I feel like this arc really solidifies that for him?? Not just the joongdok scenes but as a character, I'm so dissapointed
This is absolutely my guilty pleasure. Barbaritis balances amazing story telling and a slow burn romance I would kill to read more of—but it does have triggering scenes in the beginning, though they were handled a bit poorly imo I loved Adam's development throughout(but he was still very very flawed). Usually that would put me off but this is really subversive! I love how the political intrigue is the focus and not the romance. If you're looking for something with interesting characters, eurocentric world building and a comedic romance, this is for you! I do wish the author addressed the sexual harassment and attempted SA more seriously, that was really off putting especially with how detailed and intricate the world was(beautiful designs, clothing, the house I was in awe of Joel's clothes) but is rectified in some way.
YEONWOO IS SO FUCKING MANIPULATIVE AND SA!!!! WTF WHERE WAS THE WARNING??
no because he pissed me off so bad
