So yes ,Inui is a dick.
He's an asshole at the beginning and do the blackmailing and stuff
But I REALLY do think that he have done it to prove Tobari that he can be himself and that's ok

I really think that inui was trying to prove,first in a bad way,that he falls for Tobari as a PERSON like,for his personality and looks and everything
(He even tried to make Tobari feel prettier by dragging a girl to teach about make up)

I'm not saying you're wrong but this feels like a cultural thing. I've seen that in a lot of Asian properties. Movies, TV shows, mangas etc... I think it's just a different culture and a different way of viewing love. It's hard to judge an entire culture and tell them the way they love is wrong. It's just different from us. I'm sure some of the things we do are strange to them as well.
