it's really not that big of a deal, it's normal to see childhood friends as an unbiological sibling and then end up having those feelings changed into something else. Not to mention in asia brotherhood and sisterhood is very strong to those unrelated to you. they're not actually siblings or related in any way, I think you're thinking too much into it. it's very western of you to think this way lmao.. this is a literal manga, don't complain if it has a tingle of asian culture.

i never said you hate asian culture nor did i say you hate asian people idk where you got that from. all I said is that it's silly to be weirded out when it's pretty normal lol and i didn't say you weren't asian. all i said is that it's a western way of thinking but you took that out of contex,t you can be weirded out that's fine but i just wanted to say that because a lot of people are making it a big deal I don't mean to personally attack you it just annoyed me as a Japanese person that has moved to the US when people make comments like that while consuming Japanese media. Again not a personal attack to you, it just happens to be that you're the most recent comment.

I agree. Also, the "nii-san" part wasn't translated, it's literately using the Japanese term so it shouldn't be directly read as "biological brother". Additionally, in some countries, like in Korea, when you are dating someone older, you might use the term "Oppa" or "Noona", "Unnie", etc. it doesn't mean they are siblings, it means that they are older and close to you. At least that is what I and every other Korean I know does.
