okay so first of all 2ha is one of my fave novels of all time. i love it dearly.however i rarely recommend it to people because of how emotionally tolling and dark it can be. if you are not an adult do.not.read this. i would also recommend checking the trigger warnings before you read a short summary of them would be rape (MC perpetrator, ML victim + rape of minor characters), sexual abuse, drugging, dubcon, drugging+dubcon/noncon, prostitution, losing parents, cannibalism, torture, sex slaves, genocide, child murder, gore, and happy ending between rapist and rape victim (usually i avoid the rape victim becomes lover trope like the plague but it more complicated here and not so simple. they are both victims)

despite all of those warnings i will let know you none of the above is included for shock value and personally i dont consider any of it to be romanticised meatbun handles and writes the topics with respect.

1. the perspective switches between mo ran MC (gong) and chu wanning ML (shou)

2. mo ran is considered a playboy but it is not the case for your typical bl. mo ran is kind and only just wants be to loved. he does things because of this not because he is a playboy.

3. mo ran believes he has feelings for shi mei in both lifetimes. they do not have sex. shi mei is complicated character he is very likeable at the start however as the story progresses his true colours are revealed. personally i dont hate shi mei having read the whole novel but i do dislike him.


4. in his past life, mo ran was the first emperor of the cultivation world – taxian-jun. mo ran committed suicide at the age of 32 after losing all motivation to live he wakes up in his 16-year-old body in the first year when he became a disciple of shiseng peak and chu wanning is his shizun.

5. So Mo Ran went back in time? Has he met ML before in his first life when he was the emperor? Or it’s his first time encountering ML when he went back in time?

I doubt most even know about that slur and call him a rat because he's a gangster, rat bastard was used alot towards gangsters. I see many call him a rat on tiktok because he's unattractive to them. It has nothing to do with racism like are we forgetting that tj stans called Jo a rat too and a roach (also a slur towards asians), also proclaim he's a trump supporter (when he's also Korean). Why is it a problem once a Jo stans says it??
