Was hwon or whatever wearing contacts or something the whole time? BC you would notice his eye colour and also at times I could barely tell apart him from the brother

he didnt, the beggar got killed in a motorcycle accident instead, but yes he did tried to kill the beggar lmao
The first season was in greyscale and bits of pink for current events and only went to colour for flashbacks. Then it swaps to colour for current events in season 2 but you don’t see Hwon’s eyes until after he wakes up from the coma. The author was really clever the way she hid his eye colour.
