this is the current arc plot in a nutshell and im just gonna explain the current arc with a bit of context:
Um basically so in this. Arc rose is trying fo find a way to prove their house' innocence cus someone (house molde and its supporters) is trying to make it seem like their gonna betray the imperial family which isnt the case... (Hence the reason why the ruby mermaid girl who looks like rose is being used as a catalyst to drive that narrative by her singing politaclly hidden meaning songs.)
They are just slowly getting framed into being so cus when the Chamberlain died, someone needs to fill that role again and the arzens (rose family) is a top candidate for that but the other bad nobles like house moulde doesnt want that cus theyre the ones who want that position so yeah. And charteris being there in rose's home cus the emperor sent him to help the family prove their innocence.
And in this recent chapter 109, im not quite sure but i think this is also a step rose must do in order to get information on the baron guy that works for house moulde. Specifically whats going on in his "parties" and how much influence it has to the point most of the attendees are in favor of not making house arzen become chamberlein. Plus it seems that theres more to what it meets the eye and it was lowkey confirmed that its also an auction house with human trafficking involved so its that fucked up as well.
And now the black hair girl with rose as the near end of the chapter 109? She may also may be an ally in the future cus she doesnt like house moulde as well so im excited to see that!
As for the singe ruby, theres not much info abt her background but ig we'll see the reason why she refused for help in the upcoming chapters!

I forgot the country's name but after the mage killings was happening the leadee got the baby to safety and went to their country. Now there hasnt been any conclusive evidence of what happened to that baby afterwards but if I were to guess, then remember ml's assistant the one with green hair? I feel like hes a descendant of that baby

Personally, even though i sometimes hate it due to cliffhangers, i love a slowburn and since they alr became a couple (like a couple couple not js some contract of marriage couple bare minimum act kind of thing) there was no room for that tension and longing that i usually want to see in a romanace story anymore i mean sure there might be challenges that they may face in the future chapters, but since they alr made the story seem like they will conquer it thru their love theres no more excitement and anticipation of whats going to happen cus theyre alr together since then ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Right? Like its cute but... Is that really it? I really need to find a romance story that has a good amount of slowburn and good amount of them being a couple afterwards. Like a REALLY balanced one cus like there are some that has really LONG ass slowburns which i hate and then in the end gives us a fucking ass kiss peck at the end like ITS NOT FAIRRR but yeah my bad for yapping but ty for listening to my ted talk

halfway through ch 9 and im already crying. What the fuck. I know that he's going through a lot but did he and they (velentino household) all automatically assume that fl doesnt get hurt or smth? ? The way they treat her is so heart wrenching, like theyre makinf her the perpetrator of everything bad happened to them. I feel so bad for her my heart hurts so much literally im sobbing so hard rn and my heart aches she doesnt deserve them all. She should just be with her maid and i bope everyone just leaves her alone
Update: im dropping this. Feel like this isnt worth the tears as it seems that the story will go its way to make everything "better" by getting fl and ml be together regardless of how badly she was treated by the past because of them
