Maybe Pain was in love with/ had strong feeling for Eric's father, Ellie? We know Eric resembles Ellie a lot, except for the eyes that must be from his mother's. There must be a lot of backstory between Pain and Ellie, right? He even let an art take care of his precious child and he and Shell still look pained about him disappearing. Opinions?(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
