Why is the imperial consort even targeting Shuelina?? I dont even understand her goal. If she is trying to take control of the palace/make her daughter empress, why is the crown prince ok? why would an imperial princess ruin anything from the empress? from my understanding, in the previous life, she literally just criminalizes and isolates shuelina, but the crown prince still is fine and in power? like ??

i get that the empress wants to feign that her daughter has imperial powers but really what does that do for them? it doesnt get them any more power besides just adoration? it feels pretty shallow in the sense of, if they had the daughter and the 2nd daughter, they couldve literally been chill?? idk i feel like w these manhwas its always women against women

The last chap makes me think that there’s this whole new god thing that she needs the power for and now we can tell she’s just using Azella for something now (surprise! She’s in a cult! .. I think? Or maybe she started it?)
My guess on why she didn’t do anything to the prince is because he might not be as available to her since he has to learn to be emperor and probably is around his dad too much for any changes in him to not be noticeable. I still don’t really have an idea as to why she didn’t keep Shushu in a dungeon or something since birth tho aside from the emperor or prince accidentally finding out or something.

i get that the prince might not have been an easy target, but at the same time, when we see shushu way in the future, they still didnt do anything to the prince? If anything, the princess azelia still seeks and yearns for the prince's affection. I just feel like sometimes these kinds of manhwas are nonsensical in the sense that these wannabe villains are always going after people that wont actually give them the power they desire??

Oh, I thought the future prince basically gave into never getting his little brother so he was ok with Azelia; young Azelia was the one that was trying to be cutesy and clingy with him. We also didn’t really see too much of the future prince aside from him being angry at Shushu so I mean, maybe they could’ve done something but it’s hard to tell? I also imagine it would be hard to mess with him when he’s older and more trained into his position. The whole new god thing is just throwing me off with the future version of stuff cuz we don’t know if that came to fruition or not - we just see the scene where she gets trapped in the mirror dimension and a few snippets (2-3 panels worth) of her interactions with others.

yeah i think my main issue is that the reason for the step mother and half sister to act that way isnt fleshed out at all by the author. the only reason shushu's power is taken for azelia is due cement azelia's position as an imperial princess, but why does azelia's position as an imperial princess matter? it's not like anyone is going to claim azelia is not the daughter of the emperor? There should be actual reasons. It's honestly just shallow

i really like the premise and everything but the father is actually trash. maybe im just not meant for harems/historical manhwas, but like, he's actually stupid to keep falling for all these tricks..
what's the saying, if someone keeps being involved in conflicts, perhaps theyre the issue.. (all the loyal and good people toward the emperor supposedly being snuffed out by the same group of people)

I saw someone talk about how (SPECULATION BTW) Evelyn's husband, Rowen, manipulated her and I honestly fully support that idea. I NEED EVELYNS BACK STORY NOWWW NOWNONWOWNWOWNWOWOWWOWJWOE. LIKE. I need to know what happened during that decade apart from the colonel and also the colonel and Evelyn's backstory (at least why she had to tear the colonel out of her life). Many people say it's bc Evelyn had to protect him/ its her way of protecting him, but also, i just need to know for sure. Someone else also said something that was honestly super insightful—she only recalled Rowen mainly if she was in high stress environments. Like when Colonel was threatening to kill himself, she knew she didn't want the colonel to die at all (but was at peace with herself dying) but when the colonel started begging her to say she loved him, she immediately recalls Rowen in almost a panicking manner. anyway, regardless, I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT EVELYN NWO

Ok truthfully i didnt read this seriously because generally in my experience, manhwas with ratings below 9.0 is usually quite bad, so i started back reading it, but it lwk slaps? like... HELLO? and all the comments im reading are praising it... I think because i just immediately spoiled myself, I'm going to wait until it has way more chapters to properly read it. also another reader said that it reminded them of Do I wanna know Hozier cover so you know i am LOCKED IN!!!!

I was really into this manhwa and was binging it, but at chapter 91...
SPOILERS
I feel kind of lost. The MC just drops out of his company, quits, now is a freelancer, and making his own base of people... I get it, but why drop out of the company and why is the CEO horrible (?). I understand the CEO drove some people away during the main incident, but does that mean he is involved in Promesthus? Also, I am confused about how Promesthus is able to function and do business? Is it not a criminal organization? How are things not more put into place to prevent this kind of corruption from spreading? Furthermore, I feel like the world building is pretty messy... For example, some companies aren't explained that well... Like the immortal agent special force but then non immortals are in it, same with other companies that were trying to recruit our MC. Also I am just not a fan of how MC talks and treats women... I like his mom though..

i was also wondering why he did the whole using the mv thing (and also not letting the team leader help??)
like i get that he wanted prometheus to come out on their own basically but i guess he thought that the team leader would get in the way or something. kinda felt out of nowhere and like the author just wanted a reason for mc to leave the company

I started reading and got to like chapter 20 but it got kind of boring for me
can someone provide a summary and any reason why I should keep reading it

Nth really, 4 seasons in and neither of them are close to acknowledging actual possibility of "feelings" cuz Ilay is stupid to emotions and is possessive af while taeui simply can't comprehend ilay having such emotions so we're stuck in a they're kill for each other but are too emotionally dumb to realise why

If a moody psycho killer like him acted that way. I doubt I would believe he had a pure love for me either. The seme is a dumbass, but the uke isn't (emotionally). He even notices subtleties and thinks "it don't make sense but.....do this psycho like me?". Then he changes his mind when his neck gets grabbed, recalling his life is threatened, or someone's head gets bashed in cuz of a mood swing etc
I am so tired of 2nd chance trash MLs. Some of these characters literally act like they were born yesterday and do not understand AT ALL how relationships work. Ml literally treated FL like shit in their previous life. He isolated her, neglected her, and NEVER actually uttered any words of love to her? He eventually realized his love for her, and you know what he did about it? NOTHING! She was so open and devoted to him, yet he could not even afford her any words of affirmation. Someone said that it was because he got threatened using her, but at the same time, he is literally an S esper... Plus he can legit just be secretive about his love for her in a way where she knows?? These emotionally immature men forget that relationships are mutual. It's actually quite frustrating.
If you scroll down far in the comments there were some who pointed out how bad and unfair the FL is acting towards ML. I'll save you some time and TLDR: they're both just... dumb as fuck.
FL got into the marriage in her first life as a consenting adult, hoping Ciel to fall in love with him. Ciel is distrusting of that world's goverment and thought Irene was another person they sent to keep him on a leash. Remember, the fake saintess PROMISED him that her world has an abundant of guides, something his world lacks? So it's not like he can gun down everyone since he's an S class esper, yknow. It makes sense he couldn't trust her straight away. He's held as a hostage in a strange world / universe, he may be an S esper but he didn’t know how Korea or the Earth works, he's blackmailed and tricked by the fake saintess. It's not until he saw her sacrificing herself to shield him that he realized she's not the government's spy and her love for him is genuine.
This story makes people sided with FL because it was told from her perspective and has been treating ML unfairly. Like if you married a guy with overwhelming power (which already makes someone, not just him, feel disconnected from ordinary people) and from another world even, and you think you can fix him with the power of love alone? It's not as simple as that.
TLDR: just because ciel was in that kind of position did not give him the right to treat Irene in such a shitty manner in past life.
You stated that he only realized that Irene's love for him was genuine after she sacrificed herself for him, but I will correct something from my perspective. My issue was that Ciel claimed to have began loving her BEFORE she sacrificed herself for him which is indicative by his borderline obsessive behavior regarding her and her whereabouts. Yes, i completely understand that Ciel was in an unfair position and that he was kept on that "leash" because of Irene, but that does not give any reason for his basically abusive behavior toward her (Controlling, isolating, distant, etc.,). (He literally threw a fit if she was not home before he was and would cause a scene in front of her friends to bring her home and then not talk to her. Isolation is a form of manipulation. For Irene who had practically no one on Earth, it made her just rely on him.) This is all to say, considering Ciel did begin developing feelings of affection for Irene, I am left with the question of how dare he even treat someone that he liked/loved like that? It's cruel and just shows what kind of character he has. He's selfish and only cares about his own emotions, disregarding the emotions of Irene.
Even if he did not come from Earth, him not being able to articulate or convey any of his emotions to Irene for the years they were together as a BONDED and married couple is absolutely mind boggling. Yes, he was hesitant to reveal them because he thought she was a spy, but that STILL does not give any reason for his basically abusive behavior toward her. Irene was his WIFE, and for him to not even be able to convey ANY words of love to her, it felt like he did not just just lack emotional intelligence, but simply didn't understand how human relationships work at all.
I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
also, yes, I agree that BOTH of them need to work on their emotional intelligence. However, in Irene's life in Korea, she was said to not have any family. She was desperate for love and when she finally found someone who matched with her so perfectly, she felt it to be destiny. To the man that she felt her destiny lied with, he treated her horribly. Now, when she migrates to this story, she is raised by a loving family that rectifies her perception of love and healthy relationships, of course she stops caring about the ML. He didn't do shit for her. She learned what real love looks like, so yeah, I am on the FL's side for this one. (also ML shouldve literally know this about her..)
Also, I didn't say this in my previous reply, but the saintess literally treated Irene like shit. Why would Irene be working for them when saintess is clearly jealous and mean toward Irene which Ciel was FULLY AWARE of as stated by Ciel himself. Like genuinely am I missing something? The more i think abt it, the more i get annoyed at how stupid ciel is.
Even more than that, why would they threaten to harm Irene if she was supposedly working for them too? like the math aint mathing
If I wasn't so lazy I would make about 20 accounts here just to like your comments. Preach queen. This story is so fucking frustrating, he was so abusive to her and now he still is an inconsiderate asshole who just thinks about his feelings and himself. And then he does something borderline possessive again and MC just ~~~blush~~~ instead of I DONT KNOW, STANDING UP FOR HERSELF?? ARGGGHGGH
Dropped this and stomped on it.
They used her as a way to control Ciel, there was a flashback on his side where a government officer mentioned in passing how he recently got married and he took it as a hint that if he doesn't follow the Korean government he will lose his guide.
From what I read It seems like he loved her even in his past life but was too wary to show it. They already robbed him from his world, he's a hostage, if his affection for his wife is seen her life could have been in even greater danger with added hardships, he wanted to stubbornly shoulder everything. He seemed upset and regretful when she died with him. He noticed all her habits and seem smitten by her every jester. That fake saintess b and the organization she worked with was powerful as a collective, even as an S esper he couldn't do much on his own.
I get your frustration though Communication was definitely lacking, I don't dispute that. If he was braver they could have been on better terms in their previous life. However in this world they were given a second chance, he didn't have the same restrictions or worries so he decided to share his true accumulated affection without reservation. Together they may prevent that horrid future they previously experienced together.
i get that but my issue is why would that inhibit him from being able to honestly tell irene his feelings?
again, its frustrating when these low eq men harbor feelings of love but can never be honest with themselves. happens way too much and always ruin relationships. why do these poor women have to go thru those first lives thinking their husband hates them? its so silly
Yeah I get that frustration I've read quite a bit with a similar dynamic; dense, cold, oblivious, neglecting male leads, some obnoxious, possessive and utterly intolerable. I had to abruptly stop reading romance shoujo's for a while because it felt like I left one toxic story for another... I read worst so this one personally isn't difficult for me to read.
yea that's valid. sometimes i can stomach it but god it really gets to a point where im like, do all these men seriously have the emotional intelligence of a 5 yr old kid? ESPECIALLY if that's ur wife?? like..
Thanks for explaining it so well! I love them both just as they are
