I know that it's really hard not to be mad at skylar because of how easily he chooses not to solve the misunderstandings, but honestly I don't know how I would react after discovering that the guy I like manipulated everyone around me. Of course, I know cirrus side as well and that's why most of the times I'm ready to defend him (e passar um pano né mores), but skylar doesn't know what we know
anyways, I love them both and I hope they can solve their shit together in the future (even tho I know they'll be apart for a while at least)
Skylar does know. Cirrus told him about the teacher right after he tried to assault Skylar.
In my mind, Cirrus is far worse than Skylar. Skylar keeps everything locked inside and is a ticking time bomb. He's angry and explosive. And so afraid. But he's also honest. He doesn't lie. He doesn't cheat. He doesn't manipulate the people around him for his own personal gain or use his trauma as an excuse to abuse the people he claims to care about.
I wasn't really referring to the abuse, but to the stuff cirrus been thinking about while he did everything he did. Of course, I'm not trying to justify anything he did but maybe they could sort things out if they were willing to let the other know what goes through their minds
also, I agree with you when you say that cirrus is worse than skylar
he has lots of stuff to deal with before being able to be in a healthy relationship with someone else
Doesn’t lie? Skylar did when he chose to not say that he was the one who was involved in the fight near the convenience with other guys (I believe). Skylar may not use his own trauma, which he isn’t the type to do so, but he definitely used Cirrus’s out of anger.
But he made an irrational choice out of anger. Is it justifiable? No. Is it explanatory? Yes. Same goes for Cirrus. His manipulation has stopped, that’s what matters. He isn’t, at the moment, trying to gaslight anyone into staying with him especially Sky.
Idk about who’s worse or not, but I believe both have their bad times and good times. Cirrus apologized for attempting SA, and they had a good discussion together, Cirrus opened up to Sky that day.
It’s not really fair to compare the two when they both had different upbringings, Sky had some support whereas everyone failed Cirrus (especially the pedo teacher who SA’ed him, I also believe that caused Cirrus to become who he was; SA’ing others).
And if you recall, Cirrus also yelled angrily at a bird when he was younger. This is one big reason why adults shouldn’t have failed him.
None of what Cirrus did is justified of course. But what matters is that he lied to the teacher that he was the one involved in the fight (for Skylar), not being angry and yelling at the others for finding out about his past scheme, he simply chose to move away despite his parents already forcing it.
I didn't know it was based on a real life couple until the end, so now that I know it makes sense to me why I got all emotional. The conflicts felt too real to me, as well as the way they both express their feelings, so I couldn't help but feel connected to the story overall
