It seems like many people are a bit confused about the plot of this story, so I’ve put together a small summary. This is a drama-filled story with many details that can be easily missed if not read carefully. Additionally, the author’s somewhat chaotic narrative style makes it a bit hard to follow. This gonna be long lol:

The parents’ generation:
Jitae’s mother is the official wife of Baek Jitae’s father, while Ji-an’s mother is just a mistress or perhaps a concubine(?). She holds a position in the Baek family’s company, but neither she nor Ji-an is respected. That’s why I believe Jitae’s father never officially married her.

As for why Ji-an is older than Jitae, it could be because Jitae’s parents knew and loved each other before Ji-an existed. During that time, Jitae’s father was either trapped in a scheme or simply unfaithful, sleeping with Ji-an’s mother and being forced to take responsibility for her child. Perhaps, since it was just a mistake, Jitae’s father kept it hidden from his lover. Later, he and Jitae’s mother got married and had Jitae.

At that point, Ji-an’s mother showed up, claiming Ji-an was Jitae’s father’s child. Jitae’s mother was furious when she discovered her husband’s betrayal but couldn’t do anything and resigned herself to the situation. Meanwhile, Jitae’s father was useless and failed to protect his wife and child, leading to Jitae’s mother being kicked out of the house.
Jitae’s father likely still loved his ex-wife(?), which made Ji-an’s mother jealous. Out of envy, she planned to kill Jitae’s mother and even tried to kill Jitae to seize the inheritance.

The children’s generation:
After Jitae’s mother was kicked out, Jitae was abused by his stepmother. However, since Ji-an was treated the same way, Jitae didn’t care much—until his biological mother died and he met Mi-eum. At some point, Jitae was kidnapped and nearly killed by Mi-eum’s father as part of an agreement with Ji-an’s mother. However, Mi-eum saved him, which led to Mi-eum losing his memory.

Determined to stop himself from searching for Mi-eum, Jitae decided to study abroad. During this time, Jin gave Jitae a black tape containing footage of Hajoon, Ji-an’s mother, and Mi-eum at the crime scene. This caused Jitae to doubt Mi-eum and explained why he treated Mi-eum so poorly in the early chapters.

As for Ji-an: In chapter 42, Ji-an’s mother said to him, “If you wanted power, you wouldn’t have followed me into this house and would’ve spread your legs for those in power instead.” This implies that Ji-an and his mother lived separately at some point before she went to the Baek family to demand recognition. At that time, Ji-an was six years old, but it’s unclear if he moved in with his mother immediately. Her words also suggest that Ji-an only joined the Baek household when he was older.

Ji-an’s mentally unstable mother raised him in an extremely abnormal way. Despite being her biological son, she used and controlled him for her own benefit while believing she had given him everything. This led to Ji-an falling into addiction and promiscuity. He was also harmed by Hajoon, Ji-an’s mother’s subordinate, who increased his drug doses to deepen his addiction and make him easier to manipulate. To make matters worse, Ji-an recently discovered that he isn’t even Baek’s biological son.

And that’s the story of the Baek family.

Yesterday, I was busy feeling sorry for Ji-an, but now I realize Ji-an’s mother was really so stupid. How could she be so easily provoked and act so foolishly, yet the Baek family allowed her to run wild for so many years??? The whole absurd paternity setup—are chaebol families really that easy to deceive, where DNA test? Maybe she had something on Jitae’s father?

There are so many unanswered mysteries surrounding the parents’ generation, and now the children’s generation is a complete mess too @@

Now, looking back at the moment Ji-an told Ji-tae to call him “Hyung,” and not once did Ji-tae ever do so, it feels like a painful punch after knowing this…

Bro, this chapter make me think maybe Jian just need to get tf out of this messy house and maybe he will find peace (with Jin is optional btw)

Honestly, I’m not too invested in the main couple, but seeing people criticize Ji-tae makes me want to defend him.

First of all, the reason Ji-tae treated Mi-eum poorly in the early chapters was because he thought Mi-eum was involved in his mother’s death (due to the video he received from Jin). He was secretly seeking revenge, not simply upset about Mi-eum forgetting him. (Ji-tae decided not to mention the first reason, but reading Chapter 44 makes it clear enough). On top of that, Ji-tae knew Mi-eum had been sent by Ji-an. Despite all that, his feelings for Mi-eum eventually overcame everything. He went from wanting to toy with Mi-eum to wanting to push Mi-eum away for his safety. But when Mi-eum regained his memories and even promised to make Ji-tae happy, Ji-tae decided to change his plans. He wanted to end everything quickly so he could be with his beloved Mi-eum.

Whether Ji-tae is a bad person or not, it’s clear how precious Mi-eum is to him. The reason Ji-tae hid the truth from Mi-eum was that, after regaining his memories, Mi-eum constantly blamed himself and felt unworthy of Ji-tae. No matter how much Ji-tae expressed his love, Mi-eum kept believing Ji-tae hated him. So what other choice did Ji-tae have to keep Mi-eum by his side?

In any case, the author has already confirmed that they will have a happy ending together. If you don’t like it, you can stop reading, since this is, after all, a story centered around their love.

Ray begins his plan to “manipulate” Winter by pretending to cooperate while simultaneously demanding more from him. He even tries to entice Winter into sleeping together and going on dates. However, Winter is not someone who is easy to deal with. Eventually losing his patience, Ray decides to attack Winter’s “loyalty” head-on, asking if he’s starting to feel bored of him. It’s intriguing to imagine how Winter would respond.

I think this is the first BL captivity story that delves into the monotony and suffocation of such a relationship—where all they do is eat, sleep, and have sex. It’s incredibly dull, and it’s clear the captor has forgotten why they liked their victim in the first place, focusing only on possessing them. One has to wonder if that’s really love. Definitely not, lol.

By the way, some people might think that Jian “loves” Jitae or is obsessed with him, but rest assured, the author has confirmed that there’s no such thing. Jian only feels that Jitae is very pitiable. I’m not sure if Jin misunderstood something or if he’s so jealous that he doesn’t want Jian to care about anyone else and said that, but Jian’s feelings for Jitae are purely sympathy. There’s no incest involved here!

Bonbonsue created a topic of Cry Me a River

It’s clear that Jin and Jian have known each other for a long time. Jin is obsessed with “bringing back” the Jian he used to know (perhaps the Jian from before his self-destructive and addiction).
To Jin, Jian’s deep concern for Jitae is the root cause of Jian’s suffering. This leads me to believe that Jin is aware of Jian’s true plans, plans that seem to involve some sort of sacrifice for Jitae, which Jin strongly disapproves of. Jin wants Jian to hate Jitae to the point where Jian no longer cares about him at all.

The truth about Jian having special feelings for Jitae is subtly implied many times. From the way Jian always wants Jitae to call him Hyung, to how Jian consistently intervenes in matters involving Jitae, it makes me wonder: why is Jian so invested in Jitae? It doesn’t make sense to say it’s out of pity, and Jian and Jitae don’t seem close enough for such devotion. This led me to a theory: Jian had a connection with Jitae’s mother in the past.

The significant age gap between Jian (33) and Jitae (26) might be intentional on the author’s part to hint at this. Perhaps Jin and Jian knew each other from an orphanage run by Jitae’s mother. Jian’s concern for Jitae could stem from how Jitae reminds him of his mother.
Imagine the weight of his existence, coupled with the knowledge that his mother was the one who killed Jitae’s mother. The sheer tragedy and despair of such a truth
it’s no wonder Jian would want to die.

Hah i know Jin x Jian gonna be a toxic somehow lol, just like how I like it but i don’t know Jin that crazy, i mean in the end, all Jin want is “save” Jian? It is negative way to do but Jian completely cut tied from Baek’s Family and his crazy mother is the only way give him peace mind. Beside….Jian seem to care for Jitae a lot, to the point Jin be a little jealous about it(???) he keep saying wanting Jian adore him and want Jian forget about Jitae (????) ugh i love them so much

So i got bored with this series lately for some reason….but new chapter is super cute is bring my love back, because Hayden finally take action thank god
Anyway it’s cute so i translate it

Brett: Last time, you kicked me out with just my underwear on.
Hayden: …I called you here because there’s something I need to talk about.
Brett: …Get in the car.
Brett: I’m listening, but I hope it doesn’t take too long.
Hayden: …Is that how you listen to others?
Brett: If not, just stand up and leave right now.
Hayden: …If you had stayed longer that day, I was afraid I would lose control. I’m sorry.
Anyway, there are things we need to discuss, not just about sex.
Brett: …Seems like you’re misunderstanding something, so let me make it clear.
I never had any intention of leaving you.
We’re about to graduate.
The one who regrets the most is me.

(Graduation in the US usually happens in May or June when the spring semester of the 4th year ends.)

In both life and career, I won’t let you suffer.

I don’t understand why you always decide on things and then tell me about them…

Hayden: …Still, nothing has changed.
You know what I want.

Brett: I remember when we went to watch a play.
Apart from you not wanting to see our relationship as a date, I didn’t know anything else.

Hayden: If this relationship is just about dating and eventually doing a threesome, I don’t need it.
You mean that could still happen, right?

Brett: I’ve never done that, and since you didn’t like it, I said I wouldn’t.
So, is exclusivity enough for you?

Hayden: Don’t pretend not to understand and play with words with me!

Brett: …Since this relationship started with me deceiving you, I’ll try not to lie anymore to maintain trust.

If what you want are romantic events or a formal relationship…
I can go along with that.

But you don’t want just those beautiful formalities, you want something deeper… like love, right?

But I can’t guarantee a feeling that has no shape, and I don’t want to either.

Even if I try to keep you by showing you that everything will be fine…

Eventually, you won’t feel enough and will get tired and leave.

It’s all too predictable.

I want to stay with you as long as possible.

That’s why I set a limit.

Hayden: Are you projecting experiences with others onto me?
You’ve never tried it with me.

Brett:…

Hayden: Can you explain better?
You find pleasure in imagining yourself falling from the position you’re in.
But you don’t actually want to fall.
That’s why you turn to me, someone from a different world, not anyone around you.
You want to use me as a tool, right?
That’s why you never had the intention to change.
I know that even if I listen to your half-hearted comforting words, the feeling will only improve temporarily. Nothing will change.
Don’t think you’re the only one who understands me.
I understand you too.
Think carefully. Without me, you’re alone too.

Brett: …After hearing you, I think…
Living like this, always being judged, maybe it’s better to be a little lonely, like you said.

Hayden: Wait..! I didn’t mean to judge you!

What I mean is…
Don’t push me out of your boundaries like this.
At least give me a chance.

I know chasing you is part of it!
I’ll try to change your mind…

Brett: Pfft! Who says “chasing” like that…
Isn’t that something only in books?

Hayden: Stop making fun of me…!

Brett: I was really annoyed earlier.
But since it’s so ridiculous, the anger disappeared.

Your “threatening” was awful…
Learn to negotiate better next time.
You’ll have to sign a lot of contracts later, right?

Hayden: Negotiate what…

You’re not an option for me.

You’re not something I can consider, like those cars you change every time, looking for the best one.

Now, other than you, I don’t need anyone else…

Brett: Are you secretly blaming me now?

Hayden: No… sorry.

Brett: …So, what do you plan to do?

Hayden: What?

Brett: You said you were going to “chase” me.
How are you going to make me happy?

Going to drag me to another boring play?

Hayden: No…

Brett: It’s the end of the year. Do you have free time?

How about this weekend?

Hayden: I have a supporting role scene and… an interview for my graduation thesis.

Brett: So that’s a no, right?

Then there’s Christmas.

What will you be doing?

Hayden: Normally, I would go to my relatives’ house in Germany with my family…

But this year, due to my schedule, those plans were canceled.

Instead, I’ll be at my parents’ house in San Diego for a few days.

Brett: Hmm…

Hayden: …Do you want to come with me?

Brett: What?

Hayden: I’ll bring you back before Christmas Eve.

Brett: That’s… a bit too fast, don’t you think?

Hayden: It’s still two weeks away.

Didn’t you already have your schedule full?

Brett: No…
I didn’t mean it like that…

I really liked this chapter lol
Hayden has really grown up, finally taking the initiative, now i wait for Brett turn haha
A few chapters ago, I was feeling a bit boring because there was no progress, but this chapter made me go aww, even though they’re still both kind of dumb, at least they finally cleared up the misunderstandings from Season 1.

Bonbonsue created a topic of Control Time

I like this chapter because life has finally returned to Raymon’s eyes. It seems like Raymon had a very wild past and was saved by Dominic, who seems to be like an older brother to him. Dominic also doesn’t seem to be a simple person, and it looks like Winter is about to face a challenge, haha.

Even though Winter seems to respond well to Raymon’s gentleness, I think Raymon is mistaken. I have a feeling that Winter isn’t one of the people Raymon have sex with… I’m really looking forward to the next chapter!

Well new chapter just sex, i have no comment lol
but Raymon’s determination to escape has returned, let’s wait and see what he’ll do!

I can’t hold it in any longer, I have to pour out my obsessed love for Jin x Jian. How is it possible for a couple to make my heart pound so fiercely just by locking eyes? If they actually fucking, I gonna go crazy.

Jian is a character I really love. He constantly leaves me on edge, making me worry about him, frustrate over him, yet I’m hopelessly drawn to him, craving to know every layer he hides behind that carefree face. How can someone be both mischievous and vulnerable, making me want (Jin) to bully and protect him at the same time?

And then there’s Jin. Though he doesn’t appear as often, every interaction he has with Jian makes the air between them tense yet gentle. We don’t know too much about Jin yet, but his hidden plans and the subtle care he shows for Jian make my heart flutter so much. Just the few moments they’ve had together have already made me obsessed. Can’t they please have their own series?

Bonbonsue created a topic of Cry Me a River

I’ve developed two personas over this: One part of me wishes they’d just fuck already because I’ve been waiting so long and it’ll still be ages before we get more moments between them.
But the other part wants Jian to “crave” Jin even more, lol. Like, if they got together now, fans would be happy, but it would lose the depth of their relationship. Jin wants Jian to heal first and only wants it to happen when Jian is fully clear-minded and focused only on him. Slowburn is torturous, but it’s usually so satisfying.

I like this chapter, it’s cute. And i love seeing Brett get kick-out like that the disrespect lol

After Brett forced himself on Hayden, Hayden kicked him out, not giving him any time to even put his pants back on—serves him right, lol.
Then, flashes of memories from that last Rut night started coming back:

Anyway the cute part i like :
Brett: “This is the first time I’ve actually seen what knotting looks like up close, though last time you did it inside me, it hurt a lot.
Knotting outside like this—what’s the point?
Oh, I guess it’s the same even if you knot inside.”

“[Honey], is this what’s turning you back into human?”
It’s funny… if I can control you like that, it doesn’t feel exciting anymore.
But if I actually got hurt, you’d run away, wouldn’t you? Like a wounded animal hiding in a dark cave…
Alright, let’s go with that… You can use me however you want, too. That way, it’s fair, isn’t it?
If this is how you protect yourself, then while we’re still together, I’ll remember this for your sake.
[Honey…]”

And then, in that moment, Hayden marked Brett.

It’s bittersweet chapter, now Hayden remember that rut night he forgot, what will he do?
And seem like Brett getting in new trouble with Nathan’s dad…

I’m wondering when Raymon might be able to turn the tables and manipulate Winter instead. Right now, Raymon seems truly dead inside, although there’s a hint of disgust in his gaze, most of it is fear. Could it be that Raymon is pretending to be obedient for now, just to get Winter to let his guard down?

Once again, Winter acts like a beast in heat, claiming he’s doing it to serve Raymon still as insane and delusional as ever, lol. I love how Winter’s sweetness is just bait, only for him to treat Raymon even more brutally afterward, without a shred of sugarcoating. Poor Raymon. I hope his suffering doesn’t go on for too long.

Bonbonsue created a topic of Control Time

Broken Raymon getting sexually violent by Winter yet again. But the good thing is his lifeless eyes finally come back with hatred. If Winter didn’t act like a horny bastard, maybe Raymon would have already given up and resigned himself to his fate. It’s great that Winter knows how to nurture Raymon’s hatred toward him, lol. Raymon, fight back soon. I’m rooting for you!

Oh my god, Raymon’s so unlucky. Sure, he’s selfish and arrogant, but at heart, he’s a good person. Being kidnapped just for comforting a mentally troubled kid? That’s brutal. I expected the flashback to show Raymon doing something to make Winter think they were destined, maybe karma or something, but all this just because he smiled at him?

Winter’s basically lost his sense of right and wrong, he basically a fucking crazy child. Raymon’s down right now, but hopefully he’ll pull himself together and find a way to handle Winter.
