So I searched for this webtoon on Naver and found it had 2 chapters so far. With my broken Korean, this was what happened next:

Some girls invite fem lead and the short hair friend to a cafe. One girl confesses she likes the popular guy and asks if FL likes him, which annoys FL's friend. So the friend takes this chance to announce she likes him too, which surprises FL. And as FL doesn't want to be on bad term with her friends, she lies that she is in love with the gloomy guy in their class (male lead). At that moment, ML is sitting at the table next to hers in the cafe so he and his friends hear everything loud and clear. Thus I think they fake their dating as shown in future scenes. Not sure if ML has anything going on with FL at this point though.
Base on chapter 1, it seems FL has a light crush on the popular guy but steps back for her friend's sake. And the one that guy likes is probably the friend because it's common in shoujo that the boys will tease whom they like a lot. This is just my guess, since there're only 2 chapters now. Waiting for more (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Mashuu is a sensitive child. He's more mature and tends to think differently than other kids, so his romance can't be just anyone around his age. He might think of Satoko as an older friend or practically a substitute for his mother at first, but it changed as he grew up. It's okay for Mashuu to be a bit vague about his feeling toward Satoko. Even if they can't be together at the end, I believe Satoko will always be important to him. It's Satoko I'm worried about. She also thinks a lot and is too cautious of prejudices about normal relationship. It'll be hard for her to open up to anyone after Mashuu
