it was about a guy moving to the countryside temporarily and this protective spirit guy who was about to turn into a yokai, but him and mc fall in love and hes able to keep his sanity. theres also this spirit in the body of a fluffy white cat
the last few scenes are the mc passing from old age, and this guy accepting that hes gonna turn into yokai now because theres no one waiting for him anymore
it was super short like max 5 chapters and b&w please ive been racking my brains to no avail
