^^^^^ agreed. I don’t see how telling men to get circumcised to be a completely casual thing?? Besides even if you’re circumcised you still have to clean it. It doesn’t magically make infections and whatnot completely gone. I guess women should all be shaved right cause it’s modern!!

Circumcisions are not medically necessary and the hygiene benefits from being circumcized can also be achieved by basic cleaning practices. Anyone with any medical knowledge knows that and this information is readily available online. It is never needed unless in very specific situations and was not historically performed for medical reasons until very recently. It is disgusting to body shame someone's genitals because you perceive it as dirty and unhygienic.

nobody is body shaming and I’m not saying it’s dirty but most men aren’t that hygienic. If you had a choice between getting circumcised and not getting circumcised why wouldn’t you when it has more health benefits than not getting circumcised.

I’m not going to disagree really because it is true you shouldn’t do something just because society expects you to do it BUT i will say that the hygienic benefits gained from being circumcised than not is js all the more reason for guys to be circumcised bc most again aren’t that hygienic.

It’s clear that personal hygiene isn’t discussed as much as it should be. especially in schools. even parents wont go deep into conversation of personal hygiene for BOTH men and women, which really sucks.

The "health benefits" you're talking about are the same whether someone is without foreskin or not, it literally just depends on keeping it clean. YUP completely agreed. This is the issue I have from this discussion. Unless you’re a guy with actual experience saying you prefer to be circumcise then sure. But people here saying that this is no big deal to just go get it done like it’s getting your ears pierced is insane to me. And no one’s talking about babies who get it done without a choice in the matter like that’s a perfectly acceptable thing Jesus Christ.

Men aren't taught to wash their peen to prevent a UTI, and women aren't taught to piss after sex to prevent a UTI, the education system fails us all and we all get UTIs.
