Despite the issues I have with the child and the abuse skar put him through cause he thought he left him this story was actually really good.
Sasha was such a complex character and I liked that a lot more than the classic weak mc, he went through so much and his mental health was very nicely portrayed, he was heavily depressed from not being able to dance despite being in a relationship with a man who loved him and a nice house not only that the abuse he suffered from being Austrian all culminated in a really nicely written depression arc for him and it was handled and kept through our the whole story cause these kinds of things stick and showing the ugly side of these types of mental issues helps lessen the stigmatisation of them.
Spoilers
I genuinely thought it was going to end witb the both of them dying either together or tragically apart pleasantly supprised as they alrdy went through quite a lot.
A solid 8.7/10

Okay I'm happy for them but why tf did they introduce that child only to neglect him the whole story.
This couple love each other so much I genuinely don't think they would ever have a child irl.
Like I just felt bad the whole time levin is literally his mother she has spent more time with that baby than anyone else in the story.

Yeah he was there so the story could end with them having a stereotypical happy ending.
I think making sasha obsessive over Charles (not in that way) to be like the one family member he will never loose sacrificing sleep eating over Charles would have been an intresting way of further exploring the reason he even adopted him in the first place

the child shows sasya’s guilt over his actions, something he never experienced with sending karel to prison (cuz he didn’t know). iirc he gave money to the baby’s mom that got her killed. sasya making a negative impact on someone’s life by doing smth, realizing and acknowledging this, and taking steps to resolve the issue, is something he never did with karel. sasya killed someone in self defense, was told to bury and deny the truth of his crime by karel and perhaps himself, and so things never resolved. yet he names the baby after his beloved. which brings me to another point the child is proof sasya loves karel despite karel’s doubt. the child isn’t there just so in the end they could have a happy ending
the child is also another excuse for sasya to become better from his terrible mental state. like levin said saysa can’t just buy more opioid and smoke wherever and whenever he pleases. he has a dependent he is responsible, it’s not just him he needs to take care of. gives him a good chance to set his head correctly
i think making sasya obsessed over charles is too different of sasya. man can barely take care of himself

This story is so interesting cause while the parents absolutely suck I can understand why the mother would not be able to love her r*pist child especially if they look like the horrible scum that he is. Explains her actions doesn't justify the child abuse is never justifiable.
I just wish she put them out for adoption if she was going to allow them to be abused to horrible for paying for a sin they didn't even commit. This is so sad, I feel so much for the twins.
I know adoption system isn't the greatest but having a chance for a normal life after getting adopted is much better than being abused daily never even being taught to read from the moment you could even form memories.

It was probably because they are afraid of getting any stigmatism of putting up ypur child up for adoption since technically they can still provide for them financially and its not like the entire family broke apart.
Putting them up for adoption makes it very obvious they do not want them, rather than they cant keep them.

So the brother Im not the biggest fan of the flirt character who flirts with everyone woman he sees but it seems to be a different situation than Initially thought.
He seems to have developed this almost airhead like coping mechanism to deal with his trauma where he kinda lives in his own little bubble and acts a lot more childish than others his age because of it.
It was alright quite fast paced for the things they were setting up. For how short it was I think the narrative they wanted to explore was to ambitious so things happened cause they needed to happen to fit in for the events planned. Causing a lot of characters to act very one way then the other the very next chapter.
Best part of this was the epilogue and it's funny cause it was the part that didn't have any plot. It was just cute family fluff and the author was really good at writting the kids and they didn't feel like jusr stereotypes/mini versions of the adults but like kids. It wad cute and nice
Without the epilogue it's like a 5.6/10 story with the epilogue it goes up to a solid 6.6/10
