Because the story is so illogical, lol. Every character’s way of thinking is so fallacious. The ex becomes violence without being shown as a violence trope at the begining + the caring ox friend became an ass, all of the sudden just to make the molestor into a nice guy, lol again. Not to mention the nosy nephew who caused all the stress to the MC (like, you’re the reason why your uncle almost got raped by some mob and assaulted by the (fake) nice guy. But I still keep coming back to the point I don’t event understand why I’m still reading it. So I have to say thank you for the uploader anyway. But man, I don’t think we can discuss about the logic in this story anymore.
Are not good people to begin with. This story was supposed to be written after “Majo to neko”, but tells the story as a prequel, right? (Correct me if I’m wrong) So they’re villian. They don’t care about anything except for their own values (for Keigo is his father, for Natsume is his pride in being strong). That explains why Keigo hunts down the other witch to save his father without caring if it is right or wrong. Spoiler >>>

To the end they reached the point that Keigo cannot save his father and even Natsume only have one life left. But I do love their relationship in “Majo to Neko” and really wanna see them move on to the peaceful life after everything.
By making the boyfriend an annoying character and the molester cool and calm. So people will think “cheating is fine, your boyfriend is annoying anyway, go to the bear, blah blah”. None of them has portraited any character of healthy relationship so far. Even the nephew is annoying by judging and being disrespectful towards the tiger first and somehow the cause of everything that got his uncle drunk and molested and now being slut shamming by his “ex” boyfriend and “use to be” best friend. Sorry I’m ruining the mood. I try to stay for the fox but that doesn’t help at all.
Not like typical cliche misunderstanding plot.
