I don't know how but it's just a feeling. The bottom obviously is extremely extremely unstable. From his stories it feels like he never had good times with his parents. He always imagines his parents being happy without him. And we don't know what the parents condition are which is also weird. It's just they're sick. And never a conversation between him and his parents are shown. I almost thought his parents couldn't talk
