idk if i can give my opinion on translation matters since english is not my first language, but i find the first translation more “professional”, the official one seems kinda odd for me

english is not my first language either, but as an editor i learned a few things about editing translations and what you mentioned is a clear example of a translator being kinda tone-deaf to the characters. you'd have to understand the context they are in, their personalities, etc, to be able to decide what type of language they could be using in a certain situation. it's a hard and meticulous work fr, and if someone is bad at it - you'll feel it for sure
