but I little confused about little pearl, at the last chapter we know max is little pearl by the tiger painting that he painted so how does the blonde lady ( can’t remember her name) know all about Jean and the letters he send?? Did max ask her to play the role of little pearl or she worked for him from the beginning and was the one who sent the letters?
I think you are talking about Ariel .She could have easily known all of this if , little pearl himself have told her to do so.
I think the letters did came from max himself , but he gave her the letter so jean might stop trying to save him and focus on rebellion. Ariel herself said she will and still serves Joachim ,she said he admired someone so much that his words became her motto , she is talking about max . It was Max all along who ignited the rebellion.
