Because it’s clearly over exaggerated. There’s nothing wrong with women being curvy, but she’s clearly supposed to be malnourished. People have a right to feel weirded out by the fact that she is over sexualized. I get it. This is for mature audiences, but people still can have a right to feel uncomfortable. Realistically women do not have ginormous boobs that take up half of her body and have a tiny bitty waist on top of that being malnourished. Not to mention, she was drawn like that, even in her teenage years most 15-year-old don’t look like that. Personally, I don’t really care, but I can see why people find it uncomfortable. I’m not gonna lie. I think it’s kind of annoying that every single porn manhwa/ mangas women have to have ginormous titties I don’t think I’ve ever read one where they don’t look 12 at the height of 4’11 with ginormous titties.

I understand your perspective, and I believe everyone should voice their opinion, even if we agree to disagree.

That said, you can’t realistically speak for every woman’s body, Many POC women have features similar to Nahae Soo’s, though she’s Korean, It would make more sense to compare her to Korean woman since they naturally don’t look like FL.

I agree that manhwa and manga often portray women who look uncomfortably young in smut content and that’s a real issue, but I never had high standards for these artist or watt pad stories in the first place. I personally don’t think she looks like a child. The same applies to Minchoel—he’s 33-year-old man, though he look like his teenage self when realistically, he should be balding by now and he’s an alcoholic.

I think people have high expectations on these manwha/manga stories and expect Korean/Japanese artists—who are influenced by extreme beauty standards in real life—to represent everyone, especially when there’s money on the line. It’s Fantasy, unreal & medicates escapism for people. This is just the artist choice, if you see it as a problem then idk why you continue to read when you’re uncomfortable, no body forcing you to continue reading any of this.

Those sort of complaints should be directed at the artist to their DM’s or email coz the hate train on FL art design is on every platform I’m srs crying

Her face and her eyes give a child like appearance, and she was drawn the same way when she was in high school. I’ve seen also so many POC women most of them do not look like her the only way you can achieve that type of body is plastic surgery. I personally don’t really mind it, but I can see why people find it uncomfortable. Many people have called out her child like appearance. It’s true and I do think it needs to be talked about because well it is really weird how artist constantly draw grown women childlike. That and their obsession with rape for some reason.

i have beautiful WOC friends and family members in real life who have large boobs, small waist hips, no procedures and not even workout routine- literally just pure blessed, so that's why I won't personally agree to that statement, though this body type is not as common. I won't discredit you or try to normalize or justify the Korean/Japanese artist that turn middle aged woman into adolescent looking girls, and nowadays, not only woman but men in bl series - I had the same comment with the FL in "childhood friend complex" since her face is so weird to me just like a thousand other stories but I would be screaming and scrapping for my life everyday if that's truly the case!! these characters aren't real and it's a choice to indulge in the content. I don't get into things i have a problem with. Yes, rape culture in manhwa is so disgusting!! yet its the stories that the public make so popular, so both author and readers should take accountability for normalizing such content, though idk why you brought that up since it has nothing to do with this story???

me too, but it’s not so out of proportion dude. Her body is extremely out of proportion and looks weird. Most people do not look like that without plastic surgery. I’m Latina so my majority of my family members have that type of body type and trust me dude it’s not near as exaggerated as this. Also, you cannot realistically look like a fucking cartoon.

Guys, I guess it is allright to find smth annoying personally for you in some art styles. For me for example , "girly" looking guys in BL (who look totally like a girl with feminine face features and feminine body type) irritates me a lot, because in BL I wanna read a forbidden romance between MEN with manly features and manly personalities. So I hate it when artists make a man look like a woman in BL. Exaggeratedly huge dicks that look like a an arm, so popular among webtoon's artists, is another huge turn off - because it seems that from the author point of the dick is the greatest thing about the character...So every person has a right to share his own dislikes in art style in comments. Why not?

Well, as a non BL reader, everything you listed plus rape culture w submissive men is a big reason why I don’t read it all! It’s not the Boy love aspect, it’s the authors who take it sooo unnecessary overboard, w art, inc*st, rape & excessive smut i couldn’t stand it. Though I voice my opinion a little, I also choose not to read it or acknowledge it what’s so ever because it won’t change anytime soon since there’s so many readers who genuinely enjoy it which is weird. Also, regarding the art choices in Fl leads- before I got blocked by a reader mid convo- one of the reasons why disliking her design is that it could be harmful for woman who don’t like her and how she looks westerns. This post was a response to their reply and what I was trying to convey is that they need to grow up because these weren’t young girl, but GROWN women! Which was crazy to me to think that there’s adults comparing them self to a literal sketch and I think that’s pathetic. I would understand young girls, but that’s why this is 18+.
