I have read my fair share of rape to love stories, awful but most have been digestible. Even love me some dark romance with a heads up!
This…shit right here was absolutely deplorable. Taeju is an evil motherfucker to the actual bone, I literally cannot imagine anything besides suicide that would make his damage redeemable.
As an older sibling I absolutely would put my entire life, dignity, and body on the line to keep my younger brothers safe. I’d be a prostitute in the blink of an eye if needed. It’s a common BL trope-fine. But including a child in the mix took it to a completely new level of sick manipulation. And even WORSE we shouldn’t be glorifying the perpetrator who raped mc until he bled and sexually exploited him while he was doing his best to SURVIVE. The explicit rape scenes with multiple “NOs” “PLEASE stop” “I don’t want to do this”…actual BEGGING?? It wasn’t even dubcon this was begging from the depths of his soul trying to get even the smallest ounce of empathy from Taeju (unsuccessfully). Have any of the readers or the writer been SAd? Those scenes were disturbingly realistic how much he pleaded for his life but was repeatedly violated. Taeju broke this man’s soul and yall think it’s cute? There is no redemption arc for people like that!
Even for fiction…are yall okay?? How does this not make you sick?

I wonder if the Japanese to English actually translates to “can I rape you?” That’s a weird question and he immediately says just kidding? Could it be closer to “Let me fuck you?” Or “Can I fuck you?”
It’s kinda like when some stories say “I like you” in the English translation but it really means moreso “I have feelings for you” which is deeper & why the characters tend to be so shook.
Outside of that possible translation error- the scene in front of his sister was pedo-adjacent and a hard no. There’s nothing hot about performing sexual acts in front of a child. The author was gross af for that scene.
