It feels like hachi himself might have some stupid complex and doesnt like getting to close with his lover bc of his side hobby (remember the leggings and heels). If it doesn't develop into a better relationship between them and the side happy actually doesn't have that kind of depth to it, then this story is absolutely whatever. However, what should happen if his partner finds out about his side hobby?? This curiosity is what keeps me going at this point.
