Have to agree. I was interested in seeing if a more retro art style would work, but the plot with the "rape to love" trope and the stalking, with the dominance vs passive girly characters was a bit of a let down. Why is it even a thing? There are lots of decent yaoi mangas that actually portray rape or assault as the crimes they are, and they can lead to severe physical or psychological trauma. As opposed to glossing it over, and treating it as just a plot device in how a normal relationship is formed.

I don't think that the author is rewriting him as character is just that he is not so one dimensional as some of you want him to be, people in general can be like this. Besides he is pregnant and hormones can affect the way he acts.

Not speaking objectively, but if Hyesung hates Dojin and dosent want the baby, why does he kiss Dojin?? Why did his mentality suddenly change??? Bad.
At this stage he is probably just exhausted by his whole situation, and I guess the author is using this an an opportunity to show that this dependency means they both just submit to each other because Dojin understans how Hye-sung is suffering and that he had played a part in this. Not exactly a romantic love story, but it is what it is.
I see. I wish the author could have written it better though because they spent so much time establishing how they don't get along, so it becomes so jarring to see a "romantic" scene at this point in the plot.
Did you forget the scene in which Hyesung cried because he couldn't eat the food that Dojin faced trouble in providing it? Moreover, he forced himself to eat some of this food knowing that he will vomit it in the end. Or when Dojin got late, Hyusung start feeling uneasy and hid in Dojin's closet then stood right in front of the door waiting for him. Which means, Hyusung care for Dojin and feels safe in his presence. If this isn't "love", what it is then?
Biological dependency, omegaverse version. It's their instincts that they are reliant on each other, like the examples shown. It's just how the author has chosen to interpret things, other omegaverse interpretations do show "love" in a more realistic sense. Regardless, it is what it is, and it's interesting seeing a new take on things, at this point in the plot they are starting to understand each other more, and Dojin is showing a greater understanding of why Hye-sung acts how he does, due to his background and current suffering. Both characters have mellowed out quite a bit.
lets not forget that maternal instinct are very strong, even in real life. people who are ahving a baby usually develop love that seemed impossible before
That's why it would have been emotionally less harmful for Hye-sung to just have been allowed to get an abortion, as walking away from a baby that you are biologically and emotionally programmed to nourish and care for is going to be tricky, even traumatic. Dojin knows that preventing Hye-sung from getting an abortion was selfish, but he thought it was the only way to tie him to him. You live and learn, they both were pretty naive, and Heeso and Hye-sung's beta friend offer a more rational/blunt view point.

I think the best stance on this manga is to acknowledge the characters are flawed and both have problematic qualities and hope the story improves

I'm interested in the MCs story, I feel like he's been absent for like a dozen chapter so we don't know his character all that well. I think his back story hasnt been explored yet (like when he says "as someone who's been through it before" to kyubin) I wanna know who his love interest is!!
