The author really wanted us to believe the king was secretly a psychopath killer at the start and the proceeds to portray him as a silly and powerful big brother.
I don't normally obsess over second male leads, I know they're just there for added spice, but OMFG is the crown prince ridiculously attractive. Man has no business being so freaking cute and such a sweetie. Just his overall character design is so good and he's just a sweet awkward little nerd, I love him!!!
