I was really looking forward to reading this manga but the blatant abuse and lack of compassion for the mom just ruined it for me. The grandpa is such an abusive AH, and don't even get me started on the rest of the family. They're all a bunch of jerks who treat the mom like dirt
It's so frustrating to see her stuck there with no way out. The mom has been forced to stay there for her son, and she's been treated horribly by everyone. Even the grandpa, who acts like "oh wow I'm cold and ruthless but is actually a softie" nah idgaf shut the fuck up smh, don't even try to pull a GARP from one piece type of beat shit, he's a piece of shit too.
I hope that eventually, the mom kicks everyone's ass and takes the spotlight in the series. She's the real MVP. I hope the author doesn't go too easy on the grandpa and make him into some "misunderstood tsundere." He's just a jerk. I hope he dies early in the series. The mom is way more interesting, and she should be the MC.

Ive finished the OVA anime last week then the manga today. I actually was rooting for Koji and Atsushi to be together at first ngl, then im getting the vibes that Its Masayahoshi and Atsushi. Its super disappointing ngl, I know its just fiction and this is just some goofy ancient yaoi story but damn im just so bothered how is everyone in the school is so okay with their school nurse/teacher dating a 10th grader like ?? Also Atsushi and Masayoshi were not even bothered by this LIKE I WAS THINKING THE WHOLE TIME HOW IS THIS MAN NOT FIRED YET ??? but well then its ancient yaoi. Ancient yaoi is ancient yaoi.
There’s a lot of plot holes in this story but well its okay. The part at the one of the final chapters, whereas Atsushi was starting to grew tall and muscular then Him and Koji calling each other ugly and names was so disappointing. I know its a friend thing but its so OOC of Koji being mean to Atsushi even after getting rejected. They’re acting cocky to each other, its kinda sad if you look back and compared it to their dynamic at the first parts. I thought maybe they will still be good happy friends for each other with awkward tension but nah.
Lastly, again i know its a 90s yaoi and of course its gonna act like 90s yaoi. Its just I felt so uncomfortable the whole time with Masayohoshi thirdwheeling and cockblocking Masami and Tooru like dude read the room and give them a break pls. and how many times did he had to leave LMAO HE’S ALWAYS LEAVING and everyone being emotional like HELP HE’S JUST MOVING A FEW BLOCKS AWAY And the norway thing at the first parts, I was laughing so hard at Atsushi’s reaction HE ONLY KNEW MASAYOSHI FOR WEEKS AND HE’S ALREADY ON HIS ILOVEYOU LEVEL.
