someone needs to smack Taiga for trying to apologize to Lilia. how is he the bad guy for not being attracted to her but still valuing their friendship. narratively it tries to act as a foil to Taiga and Kei’s relationship but it’s just not the same at all
Kei pissed me off so bad too. I understand his trauma and unwillingness to let himself act on his growing feelings for Taiga, but at the same time he keeps fucking him while under the impression that he has a girlfriend?
and when Taiga realizes that his attempts to convey his feelings for Kei were so passive that they inadvertently had the opposite effect, he pours his heart out only to be called a liar and asked to leave. it’s not like they didn’t both play a part in the tumultuous nature of their relationship but i feel like it’s unfairly pushing more blame onto Taiga. like the guys been chasing you for six fucking years
like what the fuck do you mean “don’t end things without asking me first”? he doesn’t think you take his feelings seriously because YOU TOLD HIM SO?
and then there’s this misrepresentation of Taiga of being a “doll” and a “liar” when all were ever shown is how he channels both his own and others’ emotions, and his experiences, into the characters he plays. it especially pissed me off when Kei called him a liar and said he can’t tell when he’s in character or not because Kei has always been Taiga’s anchor for when he’s consumed by a character. Kei grounds him
get my boy Taiga out of here man. we gone get you right i promise you that much
