Overall the story felt lacking in romance. It focused too much on the ml's former crush for my liking. It made me feel the ml still liked kurumi even though it also felt like he only liked him in the past because he looks like a girl. Like probably when they met he thought it was a girl and got a crush because the ml is actually straight but then he found out he is a cross dresser and didn't like that and got confused and stop pursuing kurumi (hence why he said in one moment that he gave up on him once). Nothing was clearly explained about their past so idk, that whole ordeal was confusing and took the focus away from the main couple too much.
