Well he sees the world in like a green "light", that's why it's called under the green light too

Matthew was colorblind so he was unable to see red color instead it was green so he was told by the coffee owner to be careful while crossing streets and check traffic sign carefully as in the series he has missed traffic light and crossed and bumped into taxi. So his vision is green shades I guess so under the greenlight.

yes! also, i believe the first clue was that the blood splatter in the title is also coloured green instead of red so it was already hinted by the author at the very start of the series

Ohh good point so he was seeing red blood as green that's why when jin was shot, matthew saw traffic lights first and then jin who was bleeding to know the color.
