Damn this was actually amazing. It was entertaining until the last arc. Especially the King of Diamonds side story was so good, it unironically made me cry. The ending was a bit disappointing, it seemed like a cop-out. But I wouldnt know how to give such a story a satisfying ending, so I cant judge the author for it. The ending is still good, it had a nice message. But I cant say it made me greatful to be alive.
Damn this was the first BL I ever watched. Its even worse than in my memory. I binged the anime and now I cant get through the first few chapters.
Obviously people can disagree, but I'm confused why 5 people disliked my comment. Takato was assaulted in the first chapter, and it didnt seem like the author made an effort to condemn Juntas actions. Did He redeem himself or something in later chapters? Did He apologise? If thats not it, then why am I wrong for disliking Dakaretai Otoko? I would like to know
I understand that those bullies are horrible people, but thats no excuse to rape the girl. I'm of the opinion that rape is one of the most horrible things that could be done to someone because its done to humiliate and degrade the victim. I dont advocate for violence but its not crazy to say that it can be justified in some cases, the same cannot be said for rape. It really doesnt matter how much I hate someone/or how horrible they are, I would never want them to experience something like that.
Edit: I havent changed my mind but I am coming at this from a very out-of touch position. I've never been assaulted myself so I wouldnt understand how that feels. Saying that "she had it coming" isnt exactly the same as justifying assault, it does make sense
I'm well aware that this story isnt intended to be morally good, but its still incredibly messed up to rape someone (wether they are good or bad). I do not have any good opinions about that girl, but the scene in which she was assaulted disturbed me. I havent got a problem with morally grey characters or stories, but not when it comes to rape
In this situation it's valid to say, she had that coming. You seem to not care about Haruki being SA'd by her many times, her making grape threats to the biology teacher and her trying to sell Haruki "twice" and the even the tried selling the Psycho seme too, to old men to be rape. I think her ending may be brutal but she had that coming.
She seems so fixated on sexually assaulting men and getting them graped and even using grape threats against them.
Just because I didnt say anything about haruki doesnt mean I do not care. I'm very well aware of all the things she did and intended to do, you dont have to tell me things I already know. It still doesnt change the fact that it was messed up to do it to her. If you can justify raping one person who is there to stop you from justifying someone elses assault? I already said from the very beginning she was a horrible person. Prison rape jokes arent somehow ok just because they are directed at criminals (not to mention the fact that not every prisoner was convicted for a violent crime, and rape isnt going to make them better people). Lets say for the sake of the argument she deserves it. If you say she had it coming, would you have the courage to be the person who rapes her? If the answer is no, maybe she shouldnt be assaulted. I'm gonna repeat myself again, theres nothing wrong with morally ambiguous stories. Not every story has to have a morally good message, but that doesnt mean you cant critisize them.
My answer is no, you're right. Maybe you're right, I'm justifying her outcome in my head, but as someone whose been SA'd many times and the justice system only let my perpetrator service jail time for two years, I always had this wish in my head to either unalive him or for there to be someone to make him experience what he made me have to experience. That person even stalks me for years until I turned 21 and my country's justice system just told me they gave him restraining order and they can't do more than that unless the man actually approach me face to face violating the 10meter restraining order.
I would like to still insist on the argument that "she had that coming." Tho karma isn't for the poor, I'd like to be delusional in fiction that it is.
Whatever happened to a sexual predators was what they deserve whether they are female or male.
I'll admit you do have a point. The criminal justice system famously doesnt care about victims, so It wouldnt be strange to want them to feel like you did, to at least want them to regret it especially since you can't do anything about it. I still feel uncomfortable about that scene, but you did make me understand that I'm coming at this from an out-of touch position. I've never been assaulted so I cant understand how that must feel. I'm sorry I might have overstepped
I love this manga but damn the lowkey child pron just ruins it for me. The story would have been so good if the author didnt depict children in a sexually suggestive way. I dont necessarily have a problem with nudity since bodies are not inherently sexual, but theres a difference between nudity and pron. This is one of my favourite mangas that I will not recommend to anyone.
This last chapter was more relatable than I'd like to admit
