God I was so skeptical coming into this thinking it'd be a stereotypical medieval ml regrets story but this is so much more. The writing is pretty good; the characters, the world building, and the complex relationships— the writer perfectly communicates what emotions they want the readers to feel.
I think an amazing moment in the story is when I realized Annette was an unreliable narrator. Her realizing that she was a bad person, and her growing from that felt pretty good. The pity and frustration you feel for Heiner's actions and logic stemming from his trauma, I actually thought he was a piece of trash but he's really growing onto me. The theme of atonement is right up in our faces.
That ending was so lame i feel like the author lost passion for this. the suspense, especially in the first half, was pretty good and had me hooked This ending was so unsatisfying. i feel like it's truly the end of the era of death game stories
I recall dropping this a couple years back bc of the translator and they're still at it Imagine spending ur time translating and typesetting a manga to only drive people away from reading it bc ur some loser ass edgelord i hope the author actually gets this translators ass for this
