b. Why is a girl's freedom being restricted by guys considered romantic and "protective"?
3. If she has a 200 point fucking IQ why isn't she getting anywhere in society, while the main guy with almost the same IQ is hecking rich
4. Why is this girl acting like an idiot when she has 200 pt IQ. She count have solved the problem with her smartass brain (OR AT LEAST TRY)

2. this takes place in china, where gender roles are still backwards compared to other parts of the world.
a. if a girl is a virgin it increases her 'worth' because shes pure and hasnt been defiled by another man. aotian is so obsessed with taking her virginity because he wants to be the man to take away her purity.
b. again keep in mind this takes place in china
3. this story focuses on how aotian uses manipulation and money to get where he is now. yaoyao is too pure to understand that determination isnt going to get her where she wants to be. for example, if you apply to a college with really good grades but someone else donates 2 mil to that college. they're most likely going to get chosen over you even though you have more skill.
4. im not sure which problem youre referring to, but she's used her brain in multiple cases throughout the story to get herself out of sticky situations. if you're talking about how she's 'bound' to aotian then... aotian has a huge amount of power, social status and wealth. he can get her and her whole family killed. in fact, he's threatened it before. he can destroy her life. her having a 200+ IQ isn't going to solve that problem.
Does China not have laws against rape or assault?? Domestic violence or violence in general?? Or even sex/human trafficking??? Literally the author just doesn't have a brain.. bad boy does not equal some nasty fucker who tries to rape you.
The me too movement is just now starting to happen in china but you should read some of the stories women are coming out with there are even more stories about men in positions of power taking advantage of women and evem worse when they go to police they dont get taken seriously. -not trying to attack china or anything i lived there for a few years and loved the people i met- but yeah it still has some serious issues such as these But i still agree aotian is seriously dispicable and im still around ch 130 but if she actually ends up with him then this whole manhwa is just a complete waste
It may be illegal but gender stereotypes and the like are so deeply ingrained into their society from 100s of years ago because of Confucianism
I almost dropped this because of how weird the art is... But the story is great and I had to continue (and the art isn't that bad to me now)
Wait, whaaaaat? The art is pretty good, though. Now, other webtoons have weird drawing but gem plot and characters (19 days, Killing Stalking, Sign Language, etc.).This one, however, has a solid art, storyline, and characters. But it's subjective, so I can respect that. Just a bit surprised someone found the art weird.
