i’m reaaaaallly trying to like this series. the concept is great. i’ve read other i’ve seen time-traveling MLs before and they’re typically fun, but this series is flavorless. idk what it is, but this series is like eating saltines, a dry and flavorless cracker. (〜￣△￣)〜
i rarely see authors add spines to feline-hybrids (if you know what i mean), but knotting is everywhere. i’m not sayin “oh damn i wanna see some spine action” but it’s just weird that there’s like a 70/30 shot of a canine hybrid being able to knot in a story in their human form, but the tiger/leopard/house-cat characters? damn near zero, and when there ARE spines, 9/10 they’re in their animal form.

this isn’t even a fun time. at no point during this read was i like “they’re going to have a happy ending” because this is purely tragedy. no real romance (just trauma-bonding), and the only thing happening is psychologically torturing the MC. i don’t know what i was expecting, maybe some revenge but a happy ending?
nah, just trauma. deaths over n over n over. no one is safe (legit no one, aside from the MCs). there is not a single form of respite for the MC. she has no one. even if blondie saves her, whats the point? not only is she FUCKED mentally, if she ever had a child that kid would also be fucked.

the plot was complex, i went into this expecting a tic tac toe level plot but ended up with chess. tbh i’m still not 100% sure what happened. it was just- one hurdle after another and then FINALLY together.
imo some of the (early) sex scenes felt really- forced. “oh the uke is in love with snake dude” ok but he can still feel uncomfortable. the language barriers between them made consent (or dissent) pretty much impossible. did the uke want to give amnesiac danger noodle a handjob? did he have a choice? what about the uke repeatedly saying no before their first time? coercion isn’t consent.
