ok first of all, every character in this comic has severe trust issues stemming from dogshit parents. nora is/was abused n neglected, shuri was fuckin sold, her children lost both biological parents, the bitchboi prince has a mommy complex, i could go on.
aside from the mountain of therapy everyone needs…
this comic portrays the disgustingly wide gap between “commoners” and “nobles” in such a REAL way. also the sexism (ik it’s historically accurate) makes my modern self clench my fists. i def couldn’t be a noble in the traditional sense bc ain’t no way a man gonna tell me how to be. pompous asshats fr
shuri’s dead husband deserved a *more painful* death. i don’t care that he was sick n probably in pain. he deserved to be run over by a carriage. history tends to glorify horrible, horrible people and ig dead marquise is the same.
ik these sound like gripes, but i really like the story
