This novel is a dark thriller. The ML and MC will end up together. The MC will get brutal gangrape and will be beaten by ML on several occasions. In the gangrape, MC is also drugged and raped by ML in that same room with the other perpetrators. The ML put MC up for the gangrape and this is where we see the hints of ML starting to have real feelings because for one second he almost wanted to stop the MC from going through the gangrape. But it had to be done as per ML. He had brought other people before MC too for the same reason of sucking up to the vile general. ML and MC are up against extremely disgusting people who had to be brought down. The past of ML is also bad. It’s like a dystopian world. The ML is unhinged. He is a crazy psychopath who only yearns for his revenge. He loves the MC in his own way but realizes it way later. Little by little both ML and MC will fall in love and after the revenge is done, they will flee to another country and live happily.
The ending is kind of sweet though. I’m not gonna question how they even can be lovey dovey after all the shit ML made MC go through but by now I have realized that the shittier the ML, the more possibility is of MC to end up with him based on my dark novels collection. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
