I do not stan cheating in a healthy relationship. Why couldn't the boyfriend be an abusive dick so I can justify it?@ GOSH.
Hmn...I think they definitely lack communication. However, I don't really see any emotional or physical abuse or neglect. The seme seems caring and attentive to the other guy, although he doesn't seem to realize that he's lying or starting to cheat emotionally.
What seems unhealthy about them to you? I'm genuinely curious!
Maybe that's our misunderstanding.
An unhealthy relationship is for me not only abuse or sth extreme.
I don't like him. He is possessive and patronizing.
And the uke shows no love. Maybe he is comfortable in a relationship, but I see no affection. Or at least not much. When he is ready to cheat and lie he also isn't sure about them.
I understand why everyone is angry at the liar, but at the same time, I can understand him a little. When people are symbolizing a better time in your life, when you still were happy, it's even harder to let them go. And the Ex never gave him a reason for the break up, so their were still questions in his mind.
Of course that doesn't justify lying and maybe later cheating.
I can see the patronizing bit, but I wonder how he thinks because the POV seems to be mostly from the uke so we don't know how the seme feels just yet. However, I don't think he is acting or moving out of malicious intent. But I guess to each their own!!
I definitely agree that the uke doesn't seem very affection or in love and just comfortable. I figured he was a big old tsundere though! Lmao until he met his old fling and we saw a new side to him. I don't hate the uke, I completely understand how easy it is to fall back in love with old flings and rekindle passions. Still don't stan cheaters though, which I feel like will happen at this rate. Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
But honestly the female protagonist was being really manipulative and unfair. If he mentioned breakup previously and she immediately took drastic measures like telling his parents or making herself sick then she was trapping him.
No, this does not mean cheat, but she wasn't the healthiest person mentally either. I also sort of hate the 'love advice' this story gives. You shouldn't work hard to get someone back that just doesn't love you, just learn how to love yourself again and work through your sadness and grief. Channel the emotions into something productive and healthy. I know easier said than done when you're heart broken but the alternative is well...looking kind of pathetic.
All that being said, the manga is entertaining enough. Maybe it is because I know she becomes the CEO of the company and she has some healthy love interest sprouting that I can stay invested. It she ends up back with Shen though.... ( ̄へ ̄) Doing a little makeup and dressing better doesn't change their core issues as a couple.
So, a lot of people already kind of said it but the ending was confusing as fuck. I mean, in the beginning you can follow the story and there is foreshadowing and symbolism that keeps you on your toes and also this narration that keeps the story clear and precise. Then that all goes to hell. There are three main story lines, none if which the author managed to clean up neatly. I think everyone is dead? I don't even fucking know man. What?
Jihan has an inferiority complex that stems from his parents and his abusive step father the size of the empire state building, yes. However, that DOES NOT excuse his extremely possessive and overbearing behavior. I don't care how pitiful he seems, even the way he lashes out in anger instead of sitting down to have a mature conversation screams immaturity. I understand him, but I do not forgive him.
Jaeun is no better, constantly taking the blame for everything onto himself. There are things he could have done differently, yes. Being more clear about his relationship with Jihan, not putting himself in a compromising position, and etc...but honestly? I feel like Jihan made being a written pair more of a thing than Jaeun even understood.
( ̄へ ̄)As for Siwan...I don't blame him for running as a child, but he is far too overbearing and idealistic. I honestly ship them the most, however I do not like that he used his pheromones to try and seduce him that was pathetic and selfish. If you truly love someone, you want them happy. I see him trying to atone now and I appreciate it, but I still worry about his intentions.
All in all, the three of them need some damn time alone to get their heads on right. I do not want Jihan and Jaeun back together though, no matter what happens...if another alpha friend pops up this will just repeat itself.
