I can’t be the only one irritated by the fact that so many recent BL have basically all the same art style, and are obviously heavily-traced from 3D CSP models in order to produce it faster. Does anyone have recommendations for recent/modern BLs that have good, unique art? (like lost in the cloud or bongchon bride)

When it comes to Japanese ones I find less standouts but overall I still really like the Japanese art styles on average. Big fan of Scarlet Beriko's style, as well as Suzumaru Minta, Mamita and Yoriko. Though they don't stand out as much as the manhwa and manhua above due to lack of colour and less individual style

it was like a vintage manga, kind of 80s style or maybe older.
it was about some school girl whose mother(?) sells her to become a dog girl. like an actual dog girl with a snout and tail. she BECOMES a dog more or less. it was probably an ecchi. the manga was short. the girl hates it at first but i think by the end she enjoys being a dog or something.
this was something i probably clicked on when i was way younger while perusing this site and it changed me as a person.
i swear that every BL coming out recently is about some kind of debt. is it really that bad there rn.

i swear it's just a way for authors to make it seem like characters have lots of depth ╥﹏╥ it happens but not the way manhwa portrays it^^ it's mostly household debt from expensive mortgages, deposits/jeonse. i think the debt we usually see comes from prestige and education standard. the whole loan-shark-will-find-you is really dated (▰˘◡˘▰)
It's true that they might have education loan but their country is rich and their pays are high. These writers might just want to write some drama and educate their reader about money maybe, since their society is all about wearing high-end brands and working hard to make their country become the top. They have USA as their standard afterall.

they all start with like “im a poor student supporting myself/my entire family because my bum deadbeat father loaned billions for his gambling addiction and he put my name on the loan so now every friday night a group of gangsters come and play cornhole with my anus and a sharp rock but i met another gangster who is offering to get me out of my debt using the money he has accrued by scamming and torturing other poor students just like me ” so there’s genuinely no surprises in the plot possible at that point. maybe the only one with that storyline that gave me a run for my money was legs that wont walk because it was much grosser than the others usually are.
right like why not do a realistic debt story. show the bank repossess the lead’s car. show him complaining about the money automatically taken out of his paycheck. but sure, i’ll believe that these many people are taking millions of dollars from a guy in a leopard print shirt and a dragon tattoo on his neck.
id love to know the numbers for kim dan’s debt pre-PT job in jinx because dude was living in a condemned mold ridden shack, getting beat daily, and still had medical bills to cover for his grandma.

i literally cant remember a single detail abt this story except for 2 specific scenes (which lowkey might not be the same manhwa). all i remember is that it mightve been omegaverse, theres a part where the main couple go to some building and free a bunch of people because the mc was being held captive but couldnt leave behind the others, and theres a part where the love interest ties up this evil guy and lets the mc get his revenge. the evil dude mightve had his eye gouged out?
