Today is Yao Day recommend me the most iconic Yaoi that deserves all its flowers
“Rainbow city” 100% rainbow city. Idc what anyone else says, that yaoi deserves all the flowers in the world along with my heart. It’s everything that’s I ever wanted in a yaoi. There is nothing I want more than to read “rainbow city” again for the 16th time. I also give my loyalty and worship to Chaepali and Roger for making it.

This is my most first yaoi lmao. I miss manga stuff on this site
Yo is it me or is when some Yaoi manwha depict Europe or America they don’t even have blk characters or any minority race, but just white characters in them as male leads or background characters. Idk it just very sus…
It’s like this for any manhwa or manga or literally anything made by creators not in the us. One current very popular example is hoyoverse white washing and not including any black person or any poc. A reason for this is that the U.S is so diverse in food, culture, and people that we can include all types people in books, shows, games, ir entertainment, but other countries are more secluded to one major race or population that they’re only used to that one race and population, so it’s easier for creators to stick to what they’re used to. Some if it is just racism tho
Yeah I agree, media and entertainment is pretty diverse so they should know how to make and include black peoples into their stuff. Some foods, fashion, and dance has stuff that people see, do, and eat all iver the world from different places and country’s so they should know the bare minimum. Honestly it really isn’t that hard to add darker skin colors.
to be honest, a lot of asian countries are pretty colorist even to their own people. the obsession with spf in korea didn’t come out of nowhere, and the more pale their own skin is, the more they fit into their beauty standards. so i think the lack of darker skin characters is simply because the authors don’t treat them as attractive/beautiful as pale skin characters. sad but this is how it is.
the asian countries that are developed (like japan, south korea and china) are developed mostly economically, but they like to keep to their beliefs and traditions, and therefore are still pretty conservative, and it’s not only about people of other nationalities or skin colors. the misogyny is really rampant, especially in south korea, the lgbt rights are also barely existent in these countries (china has a literal ban on depicting gay relationships in media lol), and it’s mostly rooted in this sticking to the traditions. they, especially japan and korea (i’m not that knowledgable about china) have always been pretty homogenous countries, and i think there needs to pass some more time for them to start changing their beliefs as societies.
Well, it's not only Yaoi, it's the case in any genre. But I don't think that any author should get negative comments for that, because most western movies, series, books etc. also don't include many east asian people and if they do, they mostly get the sterotypical asian persona (either the aloof good looking man or woman or the little nerd who likes to study).
Also even in Europe where many people from around the world meet and live together, TV shows etc. are not that diverse either. All in all it's not an "asian" thing and not too unusual. Because the authors, screen writers etc. go with the character design that fits best to the majority of the targeted audience. Because it's still more about money than, including all minorities and being politically correct.
And in the end it's up to the creators, which characters they want to create and use in their stories, so instead of expecting them to change their style/ stories to suit ones taste, anyone is free write and publish their own stories if they think that something is missing.
Get what you say on the last part but, times has changed where Western media aren’t depicting Asian as the “smart” side kick or “martial art student”. It changed with more Asian actors getting roles that aren’t stereotypes or getting major roles. Also, Korea has racist history with people in darker skin, and if you see everything I mentioned. They get their whole idea and entertainment from African American culture, and it lowkey kinda an excuse your giving them, when a Korean manwha “Get Schooled”, got call out for the usage of the the N-word against a blk character making it seem like they know black ppl but yet they use their power to be racist or make them the unattractive person. At the end of the day, I question why there’s no representation when blk creators are willing to give representations or be part of their community by giving love and support but yet they don’t do that for them???
In Southeast Asia, darker skin was historically associated with being poor because it shows you work outside all day. Being called “fair” is usually seen as a compliment. Rich people or people shown on tv are very light skinned (filters or cuz of treatments). Also lighter skinned people do actively get treated better. But tbh that part is in the same in the west
Can anyone rec me some White hair Top x Dark tan bottom
There's some more white hair that I forgot, and also some grey hair

Hey guys! I’m trying to find this manwha and it’s an Idol BL manwha. I remember it was probably made in 2016-2018 and I only vividly remember the ML taking “am I gay test”
