I really find this to be a very compelling story. There's a lot of plot and a lot of drama. All the characters are well written and they all have their own affinities and beliefs and not just 2d chracters to serve the plot. The relationships are messy but u can't expect anything sane when yakuzas are involved. The SA is not sexualized but shown in a bad light and for a manga this old it is very self aware of all the wrongdoings done by characters. I love this author. I'm not Japanese but I can sense a lot of research has been put into the story. I've never wished more for the happiness of a fictional character. One of the best piece of media I've read in awhile.
