Anyway the story absolutely focus on the MC getting stronger in her cultivation. There's a prophecy and destiny and stuff that binds her future but she doesn't really focus on it. She's more like "what happens it happens" so she's just focusing on the present and on her goals.

Like I have so many I’m reading and some I dread to read but when I see this update I’m left wanting more hahaa I do think that Anise would’ve been abused by the old man using a different trigger since all his other wives died. I think it was smart to make that trigger into an empowering moment for her rather than something where she didn’t really gain anything. I think she was a bit ridiculous to just walk out of that banquet but she did say that the lord didn’t do anything to her previously and he seemed to almost treat her well. So it was a bit surprising for her as well when she realized what her actions did to set him off.
