So apparently it's not revealed until the end, but she's the Duke and Duchess's daughter.
The "thief mom" was a concubine/half-sister of the Queen and took FL on the mom's request to save her.
I'm unclear of how the mom died, but she was kidnapped and locked away in a tower by the King the moment the Duke went off to war. She got pregnant right before he left.
At some point, the King takes FL bc she has traits similar to the royal family.
Her mom is actually from the clan blessed by God, hence her powers. The mom just never showed it to the Duke??? Whatever, not my relationship.
Anyways, the Duke thinks he can't have daughters due to the curse placed on them by God due to harming the clan/the tree, which the mom negates due to being part of that clan (also why she's able to calm the curse down)(but it's why he's having so much doubt about her being his daughter, but the King's (and potentially his wife) kid instead, plus the whole power issue the mom should've told him about).
OgFL is a fake kid made in a lab or something? Either way, she's a white lotus, so she's like 100% fake instead of maybe 72.8% fake. The King used the mom to make her after doing experiments on the mom. King takes in FL and I think he promotes ogFL as a saint and screws with the paternity test to make it show that she is his daughter, she can also calm him due to the experiments done on the mom. King also makes her Damien's fiance but he's not having it from my understanding. The Duke doesn't believe she's his daughter either.
No one falls for the ogFL's tricks, not even the servants as they are all team FL.
Eventually near the end (I think around when it's revealed he's the dad after all), FL reveals that she was planning on taking over the country (she's the one to show that the paternity test was faulty and get ogFL kicked out, as one does) and a coup happens and she becomes Queen.
I think there's talk of kids? I don't think they have kids though. They want 3 kids and that's all I got on that
There's not too much info of the spirit/divine beast/fox creature. It may of been the mom's? Idk.
There's supposed to be a side story as well, but there's no info on it yet. I'm not entirely sure if it's been released yet, it probably has but no one has spoiled it yet.
Oh yeah, not as important, but there's going to be a really annoying girl come in trying to be Damien's fiance that tries to push the FL into the Red Lake, but the Crow people save her. It's around the same time all the adoption papers are signed and people find out that not only has Damien been found, but he was also adopted into the other Duke's family (the King wants someone he can control to be his wife, hence him taking FL and trying to replace her with ogFL).
It sounds like there might be a decent chunk of time where the FL and Damien don't get to see each in person, idk for how long though.
But yeah, that's all I got.
