Wow kinda tame compared to how descriptive the violence was in the novel.
Spoiler maybe:
There wasn't just one "banquet" in the novel. In every village they went to in search for uke and the brother, they rounded up boys and girls, just anyone who fit the uke's profile, and the king would go on a killing spree. Everyone in the kingdom was in fear for when he would come to their village. The tension was palpable in the novel. Also with the brother's mother. Her death was thoroughly described as well in the novel if i recall correctly.
