Wow kinda tame compared to how descriptive the violence was in the novel.

There wasn't just one "banquet" in the novel. In every village they went to in search for uke and the brother, they rounded up boys and girls, just anyone who fit the uke's profile, and the king would go on a killing spree. Everyone in the kingdom was in fear for when he would come to their village. The tension was palpable in the novel. Also with the brother's mother. Her death was thoroughly described as well in the novel if i recall correctly.

Sorry didnt read until the end (i kinda didnt like where it was headed so i stopped haha). But if i recall correctly~~ so the uke chose to return to the kingdom because he was so distressed and burdened by all the killing (the banquets) because they were obviously done to get him to come out. So he did. I kinda forgot how exactly, but the brother and the king were like fighting it out at some rooftop (prolly the castle's, sorry i was breezing through the scenes hahahaha), and then the king, already feeling the effects of the poison in him, was kinda losing that fight. Anyway, he was about to die because of the toxin, but uke went on ahead and crushed one of his horns (forgot how he was able to snap it), and fed it to the king. So then he healed. OH ACTUALLY! There was also this one confrontation scene where the uke asked the king if he remembered killing the uke's mother. And this dipsht just said something like, "do humans think about the ants they kill?" So anyway, after this battle thing, i forgot where the brother went but i think he just left. He and uke separated on a good note. So uke went back to his old house, cleaned it up and whatnot. And the king, when he was back in shape, would just... visit him. He would sit outside and "work" there. His bodyguard/soldier friends would also stay outside the house and "guard" uke, making sure he won't run away again. And the king became docile ish. He didnt force uke into anything. He just stayed by the house because uke wouldnt go back to the castle. And anyway, uke of course started to have "feelings" for the king (duhhhhhh but like still major facepalm). I forgot if they had seggs (i think they did in the house), and that's basically when i stopped reading because what in the world! His hatred shouldve lasted like couple of decades some more or something.
