This story just makes me sad. I can tell many other readers enjoy it and the art and writing are undeniably good and captivating. But the plot just isn't for me, sex work doesn't interest me much in general, especially the way it's been explored here, nor do I find the characters' choices and lives intriguing enough to keep following the developments. From my pov all I see are ppl struggling, but relying on lies and/or stereotypes to keep living disingenuously even when they're supposedly coming to a "revelation" about themselves and I know that's a biased interpretation, so I'd rather drop it than keep being disappointed at something not aimed at me.
I even bought 20ch at once, I should've just read it here first to see if I like it or not :(
You'd think that with Shinjoo being constantly rejected/criticized when he says that he likes multiple ppl silmutaneously, it would give him a clue that he should either find a better way to explain what that means OR that most ppl don't tend to think that way and so he's got to be prepared that they'll find it off-putting at least.
Why's he acting so shocked that Youngjoo would think it means he's being played?! T_T
And Youngjoo was so real for the mid-fuck self-read, falling for a pretty face when its owner is dumb as a brick
Reading the latest raws, I just feel sad for everyone*. They all have their fears, their circumstances, their mistakes, their motivations, their yearning and their hopes. What a poignant time in everyone's story, the developments have been SO intense, one after another.
*Except for Jamie, that fucker needs to go.

I get it if for some ppl the pace didn't go as they'd have preferred. But imagine if Jk didn't have sex with Dan before this huge match. It would be completely OOC, complicate things to a convoluted degree, and fuck up the developments and following events.
As far as narrative goes this approach makes the most sense AND theres nothing even notably problematic about it, just the moderate risks of Dan feeling anxious. At least through his anxiety/confusion over all these new attitudes of Jk towards him and his role now, he's is being shown through something they've done so many times before that he's wanted sexually and now there's more to it than just the dry need of the jinx. Again, his jinx also hasn't just disappeared into thin air, did u expect him to tough it out even though he's lived like that for so many years, especially before a match like this or to go fuck someone else?? Let's be real, none of that would fit his character at this point and the time he's spent changing for the better would no way justify that drastic a shift as to just forget abt the jinx altogether. At most, he's made the jinx be linked to Dan alone.
All in all, I'm personally fine with an imperfect Jk taking this as a step forward for now. Anything more would be extremely unlike Jk and I'm not reading a story just to force a character who has issues make a sudden 180 and be the role model of a healthy partner.
Still, after all the shit he pulled he's still lacking immensely. I'm only happy that Dan still has his guard up. He's been hurt way too much by jk, he deserves much better treatment
Preach sis! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Ofc he's lacking. And it's not like Dan will fall back in love just cause Jk acts more caring towards him, that he apologized once and is devoted to pleasuring him during sex. lol
He's wary of the situation btwn them , unsure abt his future etc. But Dan still likes him, we know that. Whether he chooses to let his feelings grow and act on them will depend on whether jk keeps up his improvements over time - especially if Dan leaves his employment - and confesses properly while giving him space eventually.
I'm sure there will be more hurdles to overcome and I do hope Dan will be treated as amazingly as he deserves.
