this was my first by this mangaka and I'm floored by how good this was. The way they were able to tie not knowing a person's gender to showing how such gender roles have always and still in this day and age affect relationships was incredible. Great execution! I fell more and more in love with this manga ╥﹏╥
This was sooo disappointing... Could've been such a nice exploration of trauma and healing but it turned into her leading on another guy and running away from admitting her feelings only for her to do a 180 after she "realizes" her feelings? And I saw that ending coming! Her parents never fell out of love after all and the dad never cheated! Wow! Then what was the freaking point other than using trauma as a plot device??
I get where Makoto is coming from. But you can't expect me to root for someone who does nothing but run away, involve other people in her mess like the main character she is and let the guy do all the work of proving to her that his love his genuine and nothing will change. She needed to reflect on herself and work through it alone instead of dragging different guys into the mess.
This was nothing but a fantasy for people who feels the same as mc. Nothing wrong with that but it had nothing else going on other than that wish fulfilment. No side couples or interesting characters that had any purpose other than bringing the main couple together...
i really love how they act like regular teens/highschool students. it's very refreshing.
