I hate time skips in straight romance like I had to drop just twilight and operation true love because of it. Like I would never wait for a man for 7 to 10 years no matter how hot he is because at the end of the day they’re just a man. I hate it when authors do that like it just ruins the story and the most of the time the female leads do not have self-respect or dignity and will get back together with them so fast just because they’re hot and have a big dick. I don’t even know how people can like the male species but to the point you wait for them for years is outrageous. Those two manhwas are overrated anyways the mls are so bland just like every other ml in straight romance. It’s really hard to find an ambitious or interesting mls in most straight manhwas these days.
It does get a bit funny when in mangas the protagonists don’t see each other for x years but still love each other the same. But in reality most people can get over their years long relationships in a month and start daring someone new
I don't mind time skips if the story goes on for a while and a time skip happens, what I hate is when a time skip happens right in the middle of it. I would prefer if a story goes on first then the time skip, time skips can be a lot better depending on how the author writes them

Am I the one who always sees people who only read BL or only read straight romance always arguing with each other? I need to know why you guys argue with each other and say which genre is better. When it’s just romance at the end of the day. It gets really annoying sometimes. I always see someone say “ if it isn’t BL I’m not reading” or “ I was going to read it until I found out it was a BL” That’s fine if you don’t like a certain genre, but you don’t need to comment about it.

I don’t like BL and I understand getting annoyed for people constantly asking if it is a BL when it’s clearly not but sometimes it makes sense why they ask that question and they’re just asking generally a harmless question and they get so mad for what? Like it’s not that deep and they say stupid shit like “there should be less bl and more straight romance” or “ you guys already have everything” when that is in fact, not true and it low-key feels homophobic.
