I might be wrong but I agree with everyone who said that Sangwoo's mother could have sexually abused him and unfortunately that's her ''interesting secret''. Just from this chapter alone, you can see how weirdly he acted around her - didn't want to change in front of her, was locking door to his room so she couldn't come in freely etc. Moreover, in chapter 36 Sangwoo had a flashback where he mixes up Bum with his mother and we can hear ''Bum'' saying ''Is mum disgusting?''.

With her husband (allegedly) cheating on her, beatting her up, she developed trust issues, that's why she wanted to know everything about Sangwoo, going as far as reading his private messeges and shaming him by doing so. I'm just wondering what did Sangwoo tell her that made her ''not see his face anymore'' ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/killing_stalking/mf/m_chapter-40/pg-47/) and instead maybe see his father in him.

But that's just a theory. I have a feeling that the fact that Sangwoo was ''honest to a fault'' might play a major role in her death.
