I so dislike in fiction when someone gets pregnant from rape or inconvenience, like coercion or prostitution, and they know they are unfit to raise them up and end up miserable about it but *suddenly* they change into "that baby is my hope!!" "that's not the baby's fault" "it's my only chance of having a family" man I don't get what's with Korean women and pro life shit
I get it's fiction and we know everything is going to turn out fine and the baby will have a roof above it and food in its mouth and a loving family.
but dam the amount of times I've seen these excuses play in real life and just for the baby to end up poor and have hard life like the mother, I'm sorry your instinct to reproduce and your wallowness from lack of family shouldn't be a reason for you to bring someone into your misery too

its the korean men that korean women avoids tbh. ik the author lowkey wants a child but they cant have one.
lemme yap about korean men and why you should avoid them.
notice how in kdramas korean men are literally the greenest, the nicest fucks? yeah its becase *LOCAL*(not all but MAJORITY) korean men are misogynistic and very creepy. even creepier than a japanese man, yes.
i dated a korean man once and never again. they arent as nice as shown on dramas. its all just fantasies for them

it's fucked up that they have to give them to adoption, why not leave it with the other parent? or a capable willing family member? or in foster care temporarily till one of the parents finsh jail time?

I think they have to give it up if no one is willing to take the baby. Plus adoption is a business. Before there were these strict laws adoption agencies would do everything in their power to sell babies for adoption. Sometimes stealing babies or tricking mothers into giving up their babies (apparently this was a problem in Korea, I watched a documentary on it). I wouldn’t be surprised if it influenced the author and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a legal loophole where they were allowed to take kids if their parent/S were in prison. Also prison is more serious than jail. Jail is small crimes and a slap on the wrist. Prison is drugs, murder and other serious crimes. That could effect the fate of the child as well
guys does any one know how many chapters this would be?
The current chapter in the manhwa is 55 ongoing (raw), while the novel is in Vol: 8; Ch: 102 complete, and has 26 extra chapters.
