Lol I thought it was pretty obvious. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the characters' beliefs. Jinjoo who is a devout believer and Doyeon who is an atheist/agnostic orphan from the church. The religious subplot is not that prevalent in my opinion (except for the church moments), but they add depth to both the characters' personalities and perspectives

I'm happy cus Stigmata is a legit good story and it ended up getting an artist who REALLY loves the story and characters(apparently, they got hit up by the author or the editor of the novel to serialize it into a manwha cus they drew too many fanart of Sion and Parve, they should've mentioned it in season 1 QA)
