He had to break their relationship because of their parents. But he truly does love haesoo. So he did not INTENTIONALLY HURTED him unlike taku.
Many taku stans use this part against joowon, but little do you know this just shows how much he loves him that he would go as far as hurting himself.

Joowon had many chances to confess to haesoo and lead a happy life but did he? No instead he thought that he’s the only one for haesoo. At a point you can see that haesoo explaining why they can’t be a thing(if you’ve read the chapters clearly) but these people aside I honestly feel like taku is the one being hurt even with his past relationship he’s only been hurt coz of his nature and he’s explained this in the past. But I honestly feel like haesoo should just leave both these men.
